New Georgia O'Keeffe Exhibition at the Heard Museum in Phoenix

Georgia O'Keeffe, "Paul's Kachina," 1931, oil on board, 8x8

Last weekend I had the priviledge of visiting the Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix to view the new exhibition of rarely seen works by Georgia O'Keeffe. The exhibition features work from her time spent in New Mexico; as both a vacationer and as a full-time resident after her husband passed.

Unfortunately, I was completely underwhelmed by the exhibition, but I would still recommend visiting the Heard for the benefits of experiencing other aspects of Arizona's rich cultural history.

For more information on the Heard Museum and the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition in particular, please visit my full article, HERE.

Next week I will feature other works from the Heard - so please check back and take a look!

If there are any events, galleries, artists, etc. that you would like me to feature on this blog and on my examiner page, please let me know!

I'M BACK!

I wanted to take a quick moment to apologize for my long absence, and to thank you all for your continued support and visits to my blog.

My little boy and I are now completely settled in to our new home in Arizona, meaning that I will be rededicating myself to my work here - with and for you.

Please let me know if there are any events / favorite artists / art related things in AZ that you would like to have featured on the blog and on my page on the Examiner.com website. Being new to the AZ art scene, I would greatly appreciate any direction you might have for me!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
